I would have to assume that downloading the game on a different network or at a different location i.e. a friend's house would work as well in a pinch. Hopefully they discover what causes this issue

Hey guys, so i've been trying this for days. idk who else, tarkov downloaded file checksum does not match i've tried every reddit fix, every Tarkov thread, and it didn't work. Listen before you read this next part and click off, trust me, i know it sounds obvious, but just try it first. So this whole step, just open the launcher. if yours says "install" or anything else on bottom right, dont click it. so once you have the report forum pulled up, fill it out saying that "the launcher wont let install run, tried reinstalling, downloaded cheksum does not match error keeps popping up" or something along the lines of that.
once you submit the forum, it will take a couple days for the support team to reply. when they do though, they will have a link that downloads all of tarkov's files. it will be in a ZIP. Next you wanna take the ZIP file and place it into the same folder that your BSGLauncher is in. Once you do that, right click on the ZIP file and hit "extract all". in the process you may get a few error messages, just click skip if you do.

I reinstall the game and I am greeted by a message saying “Download file checksum does not match.” I have seen this message and was able to fix it before but now I tried the same solutions I used last time and many of the ones I found online. The one I used was the one were you delete temp files and search tarkov in the registry editor, and run the file as an administrator but none of it 3/5/ · After downloading the game and the error appears, "Downloaded file checksum does not match", don't press anything on the launcher, just minimize it and open file explorer and navigate to the launchers directory, default is "C:\BsgLauncher". In there, open the Temp folder, and there will be another folder titled "p2p" and then a file starting with Edit: apparently downloading the broken update/installing the game over a VPN also solves this issue by creating a different connection that doesn't corrupt the files/checksum for whatever reason. I would have to assume that downloading the game on a different network or at a different location i.e. a friend's house would work as well in a pinch. Hopefully they discover what causes this issue
